I recently went to a USNA forum, and on one of the pamphlets they gave out, it stated that USNA has a competitive and recreational shooting club. I know this is different from combat arms, and rifle and pistol as they are also listed on the pamphlet. However, whenever I try to look for something regarding the shooting club, I can't find anything about it on their website or online in general. This is also the case for other things such as the paintball team and trap and skeet. Does anyone have any info about the USNA shooting club?

Google Naval Academy ECA for full list of teams and clubs that are not varsity or club sport activities.

Did so. Idk if I'm blind or whatever but I still can't find the paintball team or shooting club on the USNA website itself.

Paintball team:

They also gave a FB page.

This is all that's popping up for me under P.
"You can choose from a variety of other clubs including the French team, Alpine Ski team, Paintball team, Dance Club, or a selection of honor societies, just to name a few."

It's not listed there for some reason. The FB page, if I am reading correctly, has been inactive since 2015... But I might be wrong, I don't use facebook.

Yeah I found it ironic it's in there but she you look for it it's not actually there.

Here’s a link to the High Power Rifle and Pistol Team. DD is the current team captain. Message me if you need more information.

Paintball team appeared...and then it did not. It seems to have lost its place in the alpha list.

ECAs can wax and wane with midshipmen interest. It may well be inactive or not in existence right now. The Commandant has a small pot of money to support all the ECAs, and that may be a factor. ECAs need an officer or senior enlisted rep assigned, as I recall, so getting the support of a USNA staff member is key. Perhaps the associated staff member left USNA, and no one was interested in taking on the ECA. When I was a BattO, I was the O-rep for women’s basketball and 4 other major ECAs, plus teaching 3/c Ethics, and though I was asked, I simply could not fit another ECA in.

I did a little digging. Here’s the link with ECA-related USNA instructions. Many ECAs start or revive through the efforts of interested midshipmen, who do the legwork and find a staff rep to support them.

There is also a POC, the ECA Officer, if you want to go right to the primary source.
