I was accepted to Summer Seminar, and run cross-country for my school, I am pretty serious about it, and at USNASS do we have ample time to train for sports, I am sure I will be tired from the day's PT and such, but would still like to get a short run in every day.

I believe the longest we ran during summer seminar was the mile run for the CFA. The "PEP" contains a little bit of running, but is mostly calisthenics. You will not have any time to run on your own. In fact, you can't even leave the company area without a detailer.

SS is what 5 days or so? Understand you are distance runner and miles are important. Although you won't run tons at SS, you will be on your feet a lot. Try to get a run in before reporting in and a run in the day you leave. Then you will really only miss 3-4 days. The day you run the CFA you will obviously get a mile in, but might be able to squeeze a few extra laps while others finish up.

According to my son, it won't be the most rigorous physical activity. His advice is just enjoy the time meeting new people and experiencing the Academy. Run if you can but don't miss out on something to do it.
