Usna stem camp

I applied both for my 10th and 11th grade years (submitted the day each of them opened), and didn’t get accepted to either. I also didn’t get into NASS. I was recently appointed to the Class of 2023. Moral of the story? Don’t convince yourself that your chance at an appointment is reduced because you don’t get accepted to these summer programs. Everything happens for a reason, and based on what I’ve seen, every candidate goes on a unique journey. To me, that seems like the point - we won’t be a cookie cutter Brigade. We will each come in with individual experiences, successes, failures, and stories, and they’ll shape us into Midshipmen. Enjoy the process, and keep fighting. Good luck!!

Thank you! And congrats on your appointment!

The USNA Website mentions "SAME Stem Camp." It also provides a link, but I don't see the USNA STEM Camp mentioned as one of the SAME Stem Camps. DS applied through the USNA website (not heard yet) and applied on the SAME Stem Camp website, listing USAFA as his choice and was accepted to that. Just wondering if anyone knows if/how USNA STEM is related to the SAME camps.

I think the SAME camps is an alternate choice for if you do not get accepted into the STEM camp. I am not positive on this though but, I looked it up and that’s what I perceived it as.

My son is a rising 10th grader - applied in January and we still haven't heard. We are from the Philadelphia region. Anyone else on here waiting from here? I did look at the SAME camp that someone mentioned here...but the applications are closed. *Society of American Miltary Engineers. They have several camp options through the Navy, Marines, Army, Air Force, Coast Guard and the BSA! Very cool, but again, too late for this year. Crossing all fingers that my DS gets into STEM! Good luck to everyone else waiting!

I applied in January as a rising 11th grader and I am in the northeast region. I haven’t heard either. Hopefully we will find out soon! Good luck to your son!
