I submitted my application for USNA summer seminar about 4 weeks ago and I still have not heard anything back from USNA about whether or not I have been accepted. Has anyone else had to wait awhile to hear back and/or is anyone else in the same position as me and have been waiting awhile with no response?

I submitted my application January 6th- 2 days after it opened and also haven't heard anything yet. They will get back to you soon and at the latest by April 15th.

As you probably recognize, most students will not be selected for summer seminar and the vast majority of middies (and cadets at other SAs) did not attend a seminar. The good news, as I share with my students, is that you have started the application process. If you are not selected, and would like to 'see' USNA in person, then I suggest looking into the summer sports camps. Many of my students have participated in them across all of the SAs. Students stay in the dorms, eat in the mess hall, meet cadets and staff, and they also work with the coaching staff. Good luck with your application!

My son attended NASS last summer and was not notified of his acceptance until the beginning of May. He applied right when it opened. I remember when we attended CVW in mid-April he still had not heard back. So the bad news is, you may have more waiting to do. The good news is, you're not out of the running yet!
