Ok-

I just joined this site like, 17 minutes ago and I'm supposed to finish my english essay but I have too many questions.

First, do I have to pay money? and if so, how much? Like, does it depend on grade, so do I pay more since I'm a sophomore?

Second, it says on the website that they provide transportation, but what if I don't need it, and I live somewhat nearby?

Third, what's it like? the snippets of information I have seen are very vague and don't explain much, and I'd love to know more for what I'm getting into.

Ok, I'm going to finish my essay now. Thank you so much!!

Welcome to the forum. The USNA STEM Camp applications are typically due in the spring. And, yes, you will pay a fee to attend, and you will pay for your own transportation to the local airports. Transportation is provided from the different airports, such as Baltimore (BW)I, Ronald Reagan (DCA) and Dulles (IAD). I believe some funding may be available for qualifying students, but I'm unsure of that detail. I have had a number of my students attend the STEM Camps, and they enjoyed the experience very much. I'm sure others on the forum will 'add' some more details for you.

My daughter attended STEM last year. She was a sophomore going into junior year. Yes, we had to pay. I believe it was $700 for the week. She actually applied for an outside scholarship and was able to apply it towards the fee. I believe the academy may have some financial aid available, but you'd have to look into that. My daughter had to fly in since we are out of state. There was a shuttle bus and midshipmen getting other campers from BWI to the USNA. If you live in the area, you can probably just drive there. I think the information page they sent out had people who were driving park at the stadium and they shuttled them over from there. I 100% encourage you to attend. My daughter had a great time.
