My medical waiver for the naval academy was denied because I had an eating disorder after the age of 13, even though it no longer exists. Does anyone know if it is possible to receive a rebuttal for this condition, and the steps that should be taken?

I'm not aware of any "rebuttal" process for a waiver denial unless there is new information that would change the original determination.

Based on what they've told BGOs, eating disorders post age 13 are unlikely to be waived. The stated reason (as I recall) is that eating disorders may be linked to stress and a SA is a very stressful environment and that in turn could cause the condition to resurface.

You may want to post your question in the DODMERB forum. I understand it's specific to USNA but someone who frequents that forum may have additional information.
