Hey guys quick question. So I’m CPR still and my DodMerb has come back and I needed a remedial and I have submitted more information and now it says Waiver submission/review. So does that mean I need an appointment to get a waiver or how does that work?

You (more than likely) need the waiver in order to be eligible for further consideration for an Offer of Appointment.

Don't read too much into it, other than you're not out of the running yet.

I'm in the same situation. I've been told by USNA directly that you will be offered a Conditional Offer of Appointment and then you will go through the waiver process. This is coming directly from a health technician at the Academy. It's Conditional Offer first, then waiver if they deem you eligible for one. This makes sense to me as why waste time going through the waiver process for a candidate who probably isn't competitive for appointment. I know there is a lot of speculation on this site, but this is what I've been told directly from the Academy.

If you get a Conditional Offer of Appointment (aka LOA), then you are competitive for appointment. In fact, if you look at the terms of the LOA, it will list contingencies or conditions precedent that must be met. By this time, the only contingency should be the medical qualification.

DS completed app in Sept and medical in Dec. Got a DQ and was never asked for remedial. DODMERB stated Waiver submission/review Dec and still states that. We were never notified that a waiver began until DS emailed his USNA AC asking for an update. He emailed because USMA had requested waiver and had asked for remedial info 2x. His AC emailed that a waiver was in process. We never heard anything else until Mon when he was sent the Waitlist email. DODMERB still hasn't updated. USNA portal didn't change from Complete Medical Exam until the waitlist portal change appeared. I's assuming the Waiver was granted since he was allowed a Waitlist spot, but we have never gotten an email or portal updates indicating that. His DODMERB USMA status did change, but the USNA has not. Just letting you know how it looked on our end in case that helps.
