Could someone provide the usual day's schedule for BEAST? Just curious honestly to what we will do throughout the day. Thank you!

Wake up
Stand in line
Get some things issued
Be confused
Change uniforms
Recite some things
Be confused
Stand in line
March to somewhere
Fight sleep during a briefing
March somewhere else
Forget somebody's name
Change uniforms
Stand in line
Recite something else
Forget everybody's name you learned
Go to bed
Oh yeah, you'll eat 3 times during all of this...
...and hopefully write your parents a letter to send when you are able...
Repeat

It changes daily. First detail is pretty much as described above. It’s designed to get you assimilated into the Corps (aka teach you have to be a cadet) and get you properly outfitted in uniforms and equipment you’ll need the rest of your time. Second detail transitions more to teaching you basic soldier tasks. Either way, expect long days, no free time, and to always be busy. It’s a good time

Where is the PT? what kind?

You'll do some PT and eventually some rucking to train for the ACFT, but nothing to worry about. My son said the biggest challenge of Beast was all the standing in line and "hurry up and wait" he experienced. Worst thing you can do is psych yourself out - just take it as it comes. My advice to my son was to live in time-increments that are "known" (that being meals). Live from meal to meal, they gotta feed you!

Prefacing this with an "I have no association with USMA" statement, part of experiencing a program like BEAST, Swab Summer, Plebe Summer, enlisted basic training, OCS/OTS, etc. is adapting to the unknown. You, or your DS/DD, will find out what the program is like when you/they get there because that is part of the experience. It's your cadre's job to worry about things like a schedule or what PT is coming up next, it's the incoming plebe/swab/doolie's job to take each task as it comes and respond appropriately. You (or you DS/DD) will have plenty of stories to share once you have experienced it. The best thing you can do now is stay fit, enjoy the remaining time with your friends and family, and go in with the understanding that you will have very little control over your experience besides the mindset with which you go into it.

I do not intend for the above to come off as harsh or unsympathetic. I have been in your shoes as an incoming member of a SA class, eager to get started on the next step in my journey. Hindsight has just shown me that I value the experience more now having not known what was coming up next. As beneficial as these forums are, in addition to official resources and increased social media presence, the "mystery" behind certain traditions/events/experiences only adds value (which is why you'll see some grad answer some questions with a little less clarity than one might expect).
