Validations

What is the consensus on the value of validating classes during plebe summer? I understand that the two camps are: 1) Take the lower classes to make plebe year a little easier in academic respects; and 2) Validate as many as you can to get ahead and make subsequent semesters a little easier by taking more electives.

I think most people prefer to validate. There really is no sense in repeating material you have mastered and it will free up time in later years when you are carrying lots of hours.
