Varicella Titer

Daughter recently had titer....result showed no immunity to chicken pox (had vaccine as a child). Repeat vaccine given......should the titer be repeated before R-day?

I seem to remember them giving us the name of a nurse at West Point to contact with immunization questions. If you don't have anything like that I may be able to find it for you.

If she got the vaccine then you don't need to repeat the titer. They want either the vaccine or a titer showing immunity.

Thanks! I wasn't sure what to do. Did leave a message for the nurse. I am assuming she does not have to repeat titer. Will post if I hear otherwise as this may be an issue for others who received the vaccine and lost immunity for whatever reason.

Nurse responded back. No need for additional titer. However, if you received immunization as a child and no immunities on titer....you should go ahead and get additional booster.
