Varsity Letters??

Our school does not recognize or participate in awarding Varsity Letters......in fact if you want one for your lettermans jacket, you go down to the local athletic wear store and buy one!!!! You don't even have to be on a varsity sport to buy one!!

Any other schools do this???

When my son and I were completing his Summer Session Aps, we didn't know if we should check it or not....even though he is on some varsity sports. Without it he sort of looks weak, on Varsity sports but with no letter???

What do you think.....big deal or nothing to really worry about??

Check the box that son is on Varsity sports.
Write a note saying that your school does not award Varsity letters. Be honest and upfront. Academy knows that all schoold are different....but that is a new one!

Check that your son is participating in varsity sports, which sports, and to what extent is he actively participating in competitive events. Note also that his school does not award varsity letters. I.E., give them something to work with in their evaluation of his file.
