I currently have a vehicle and noticed you are allowed to own one at the Prep School. Is it worth owning a vehicle during prep school?
How often could I use it? And does any one have any general insight?

Our son finished up at the Prep School this year. A car is definitely a plus! When you are allowed off base you'll definitely enjoy having it. Trips to Chick Fil-A, skiing, Denver.....

We were considering allowing our daughter to take a car to MMI this fall. Any advice on the safety of the surrounding city or risk of vandalism?

The car should be plenty safe on campus. There is no surrounding city. Marion is a very small community in a very isolated rural area.

My son is also going to MMI. We decided not to let him take his car. It is only a 6 hour drive to our home but we want him to get used to the idea of life without his car for the academy. My feeling is he needs to focus on school and not driving anywhere.

My DD reports to USAFAPS in July and we are planning on letting him have his car. Challenge is that it is not his car as it is in my name and not paid off yet. I see that there is a power of attorney option. Not sure how this works. Any idea?
