I believe I read somewhere on here about PC gaming? When are you allowed to play video games if at all? And are you allowed to have a console such as an Xbox? I understand that you cannot have a TV unitl first class year correct? But the big computer screen would work for a console.

My escort got an XBox right after recognition and hooked it up to his computer monitor (which you can have after PW I believe). Super fun, but very distracting. I doubt anyone is going there so that they can play video games.

PC gaming and console gaming is allowed. However, Playstation Network and Xbox Live will not be allowed through USAFAnet. Not sure if online computer gaming is allowed (like WoW). I do none of the above so I'm not the most knowledgeable cadet about online gaming.

After Recognition, games are allowed.
You must use the squadron TV or your monitor, unless you are a firstie.

Online gaming is restricted quite a bit, due to network rules.
I don't know the status of WoW and whatnot, but in the past, cadets had to break several network policies to use them. I wouldn't recommend doing that.

when they went through and "upgraded" the network last fall i specifically remember reading something about WoW being officially allowed now. they changed some network setting to allow that...now to get them to do it for playstation network...
