Vision Waiver

Has anyone contracted with keratoconus? When the cornea is thinning and causing your vision to be blurry? FDA just approved an operation for it in 2016 but I wanted to see if that can wait until I commission. Thanks

Unfortunately you are unlikely to get a waiver for a problem that is known to get worse over time (e.g. keratoconus).

Corneal crosslinking is the procedure and we do it now in the military; however, that is for dependents and folks who were diagnosed after they were already in the Service.

Thank you! I am a dependent right now and prior service. I plan on getting the procedure done during the summer. Thank you
