Just to enlighten you, waivers are granted or denied on a case-by-case basis. So if hundreds have received waivers, it may not apply to you. Conversely, if no one ever received a waiver, it wouldn’t necessarily apply to you.
Is it suggested to reach out to the AO for a waiver or wait to see if the AO requests a waiver with April 1st quickly approaching? How is Lasik surgery looked upon in the Dodmerb reviews? We are wondering if a rejection occurs this year from the vision results if it would help for next years application?

Admissions determines if medical waiver consideration will be acted on “if” an applicant is competitive for an offer of appointment.
Google DoDI 6130.03; search LASIK; that is the standard DoDMERB applies.
If the applicant meets the vision standards in a valid application next year, they would be medically qualified - if not, they would require a medical waiver.
