hey guys I was just wondering if you think i would get into VMI or not, so if you could let me know that would be great! also, i respect your opinion and will not have any hard feelings toward what you say, so speak the truth!

GPA: 3.9
ACT: 23 (i know that's low, but I'm just not the standardized test taking kind)
Sports: Soccer (Varsity all 4 years, Captain 1), Swimming (1 year)
Clubs: German club 4 years (president 1 year), Key club (1 year). i thought it would be better to show dedication to one club rather than jumping from club to club.
Honor Societies: National Honor Society, German National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society)
Volunteer: Tutoring, Salvation army, Special Olympics, TOP Soccer, Church (every weekend with CCD classes), and at the local Hospital
Extra: I am top 25% of my class (I think that's what VMI is looking for, not sure though), Applied ED, Did an Interview, tour of the campus, and overnight stay. (I think this shows admissions how much I'm interested in VMI)

if you could let me know that would be great! Again, honest answers. if you dont think i stand a chance to get in, SAY IT!!

THANKS!!

i also forgot to add that i have a letter of recommendation from a notable alumni if that helps

yup instate

Lucky.....

Yeah I think you'll get in man. The only thing that should worry you is your ACT, and even then it's not that bad and is definitely made up for by your extracurriculars. You applied ED also, which can only help. I'm also waiting for a decision and I've heard they start to come out around Thanksgiving, so good luck, and hopefully I'll see you in Lexington next Fall!

Have you ever checked out this website? You can check out admission stats and tuition/financial aid. You can also enter your stats and see what they think your chances are of being accepted! Good luck!

I don't have enough posts to include the actual link :)

My DS just finished mailing everything last week. Definitely check out that site, it has so much info that is actually up to date, which can be rare! As a parent I'm especially interested in the financial aid/merit award possibilities and this site outlines everything including the average debt students graduate with.

Well. Your stats were better than mine. I'm a third at the I. But the bar gets higher every year.
