That's great news. This has been topic of interest with Parents Council and the Administration for a couple years. Glad VMI has caught up to some of the other SMCs with these Room and Board scholarships.

It’s great to see these historic military colleges stepping up to help young men and women who desire to serve their country afford college. The cost of college today has become nearly prohibitive for young people from middle income families. There are some states that have also stepped up to help. Texas and I believe Georgia offer merit based scholarships to residents who contract with a service to commission.
