Anyone have any insight on this -

"@news5wcyb: The Virginia State Police Bomb Unit is at VMI where a suspicious package has been found. It will be taken to parade grounds and destroyed."

Hopefully a false alarm.

A “suspicious item” discovered on the Virginia Military Institute campus this morning was detonated by the Virginia State Police with no larger explosion, indicating it was not an explosive.

Authorities gave the all-clear notice a little after 11 a.m., and campus life is returning to normal with classes and other activities continuing, said VMI spokesman Stewart MacInnis.

Who would try to bomb the greatest place on Earth? Sick terrorists.....

Notice that it wasn't placed in Nichols engineering building. My guess- a First Class engineer for his senior project? It's not like they have any attachment to Preston Library which is the domain of the liberal arts majors who actually study (the rest of the LA population are hanging out in the PX slurping coffee or in barracks watching netflix on their computers ). Seriously- very weird goings on.
