VMI is also a Direct Commission source for the Coast Guard. And a special thanks to GAPOPS for posting. Great way to highlight differences of these SMCs.
 
the DCSS has certain requirements including membership in either the Coast Guard Reserve or Auxiliary as well as having been in Navy ROTC. At present it is limited to graduates of the SMCs; Merchant Marine Academy graduates can direct commission into the Coast Guard, I am not aware it is an option at the other FSAs.
