I am not sure this is correct thread, I am sure a moderator will relocate if not. I just wanted to share how incredibly happy I am for my Dad. Sailing is and will always be his first love, and racing even more so. He is currently in training at USNA for leadership at sea volunteer instructor. His wife is sending me pictures daily, and seeing him in his Uniform of the Day yesterday made me cry. He is a '68 alumnus and I cannot even explain how happy this opportunity must make him. Sailing and racing were his favorite part of his time at Annapolis. I cannot wait to get today's update and photo, no sailing today due to hurricane, so he is looking forward to next week. I am so grateful that the Academy has this program. The process of my dad applying and training for this is happening at the same time our DS is applying for admission. The universe is strange!
