VP nomination

Quick question -

When my DS applied, the only thing he could apply for was the VP nomination. I know there’s only 5 spots given out in the whole country so chances are very slim. That being said, his application still shows as not completed. Will he still get a rejection letter if he doesn’t get in or is no one even looking at his application b/c it’s not “complete” with a nomination? Thanks in advance!

He would have seen a nomination in his portal. If he isn’t appointed this year, then he will get a turn down letter in the portal. It’s possible that he could receive a prep spot or a foundation prep scholarship without a nomination.
