Wait For It...Wait For It! eesh

i agree with plmmar 100 % i am praying for all us!!!
i would love to serve with all of these kids:thumb:

plmmar- ahh shucks! now you got my eyes tearing. The people on this forum have been like family to me. I mill aound the house talking about you guys all the time. Now I know how an author feels when she's (he's) developing a character. You guys are so real to me, I even have faces and voices for ya'll. I know craziness . I'm so glad you prayed for us and everyone else, thank you. I have a feeling the class of 2014 will be one of the most outstanding and purposeful classes to date. Your post is very timely for me, thank you very much.

As for you Mr. Miller, well what can I say. You are just A+++ goods :thumb:. Thank you so much for what you are already doing in the Coast Guard. I said a prayer at my keyboard this morning specifically for you. I know you can't check in as often as we all do because of your duties, but be aware that there is a plan for your life, a definitive plan, and you just keep the level of excellence in your work, attitude, and treatment of others that I'm sure you already have. Thank you for your service, and I hope as a student at the academy, you can show those green-horns a thing or two.

So chin-up all! This is the pivotal week for our children and our families. Let's pull those gumby suits up nice and snug (in 1 minute or less), pull up that zipper, and jump in for the ride of our lives. HOO-RAH! :thumb:

thanks officer i really appriciate it.

as these days pass i find myself being thinking very negatively about how this will turn out for me....

i need better thoughts lol

BM3 Miller:
You will be fine..Think positive, son..great things await you , I can feel it. Officer and others, I check the thread often, and I hope for nothing but the best for you and the future class of 2014. Nothing in our box in PA today. did get an e-mail with some pics from oldest son in Marja. He is a "Doc" over there with the 3/6 Marines. Joe really misses his brother. That made our day today. Maybe tomorrow Joe gets some great news. We all are blessed with a great bunch of kids, and fortunate to live in the greatest country in the world.
God Bless all of you.

Officer-
Just had to post and let you know that I'm pulling for you-
Been reading the thread and if anyone deserves an appt you guys do.
Anyway, I was a Coastie way back when and even spent some time going to school in lovely New London, Conn. Great place to be.
Really hope you guys get to go-even said a little prayer for you.

Officer,

I log on everyday day to check to see your status I am pulling for you too!!!

Hang in there!!!!

just got the dreadful letter today. NOT GOOD NEWS!!! No reasons given!! We would have liked an explanation!! good luck to everyone

No reasons given!! We would have liked an explanation!!

Unfortunately, it's just not possible to send 3,000+ personalized letters of non-acceptance, so we use a standard/form letter for everyone not wait listed or offered an appointment. If your son or daughter is interested in reapplying, I would encourage them to contact their Admissions Officer to learn what they might be able to do in order to be more competitive for an appointment to the Class of 2015.

Oh No MDLAX Dad,

I'm so sorry. I really hate reading the TWE posts, and I'm so, so sorry. :frown:

Nothing in today's mail. Hubby is taking the boys and me to see Clash of the Titans tonight to get my mind of Coast Guard (and I'm sure to get "off the juice" as well.) It's such a strange feeling approaching the mailbox and wanting to see inside, but also not wanting to see inside. I know you guys can relate. Three more mail days to finish out the week. -officer

P.S. You know you're a CGA junkie when seeing Objee's little green indicator light lit brings joy to your day.

MDLAX Dad,

I am also sorry to hear about the TWE.

BM3 Miller,

You are correct from Objee previous post last week.

Very Cool! :smile::thumb::smile::thumb::smile::thumb:

MDLAX I feel your pain and frustration...We had the unfortunate TWE last year...the house was quiet for at least a week...Once things normalized, we sat down with our son and asked if he would think about reapplying...His words "ABSOLUTELY!" without any hesitation...even contacted the LT who had interviewed him the first go around to let him know...Resilient!

Their character shines through from something like this...at least that's what we saw on our end...he didn't apply at any other SA...this was his choice from the getgo...and we're not a military family...

We all have done our best to raise our young ones...what they do next is only a direct reflection of that upbringing...Have faith and tell yours to live with No Regrets! If this is what they want... Go for it!:shake:Reapply!:thumb:

BTW...nothing in the mail today for us here in NY...son text'd to see if I checked the mail today...updated him and then wished him luck for the baseball game!

MDLAXDAD, so very sorry for the disappointing news. Lots of folks out here feel so badly for your family. I'm sure it is just heartbreaking.
