Wait list

My son is wait listed for the scholars program but it appeared everyone who posted here was also wait listed on the scholars program. So is there not a cga wait list? It's either accepted, declined or wait listed on the scholars program?

I was wait-listed for cga not the scholars program. I am pretty sure that they are two seperate wait list.

My son was wait listed to CGA.

My DS was wait listed for Scholars Program last year; did not make it in. Is at MMI as self-prep for USCGA and reapplying for Class of 2019. The letter is a little confusing, I admit we read it multiple times. From what I was told chances are slim from either wait list, but that is just what we heard. Good luck and consider the self-prep route if really interested.

Last year we heard informally that wait lists (both Academy and Scholars) rarely netted a spot becoming available. Understandable, I think. Who is going to give up their spot if offered one? Not my DS. is that what you were asking Shelz?

Yep...that's what I was asking. Although, I do think there will be some who may choose another path....hopefully more than a few

There are always a few that choose another path. In fact quite a few. However, because those decisions aren't made until 1 May waitlisted candidates really have a long wait.
