Wait to hear from USAFA to apply for USNA summer seminar?

My junior has applied to USAFA SS. Should he wait to hear from them (seems to be February notifications) before completing USNA SS app to avoid potential duplicate date assignments? Or should he submit USNA now (is sooner better?) and deal with a conflict should one arise? All he has to do is hit *submit*.

So strange to be in this mode again. Seems like only yesterday older brother was working on his apps.

Agreed. My son applied to USNA, USMA, and USAFA summer seminars. He got into all 3, but needed to change USAFA to make it work. No issues. btw... He declined USMA because of a conflict with his sister's HS graduation which he did not want to miss. There were no issues with that, either. It had no impact on him being considered a candidate for West Point.

Agreed. Acceptances not officially rolling, but it seemed to work that way last year when my DD applied.
