Wait Wait Wait...and MORE Wait

Nothing here in Richmond, Virginia. This is odd, I would think that of others in VA have heard, that I would have too. Just means another day of waiting I guess.

that was all I had

To the two people who informed us about the mass mailing on Tuesday...do you mind asking your mids if you know anything else (like if they were BFEs or TWEs or both, anything)? Or if you know anything else that would be great...and if you can't find out anything..that's fine too..

I had not information on type of envelope, only that there was an envelope stuffing (event)...sorry guys. It does seem like things did go out this week judging from an MD candidate who received the dreaded TWE today dated 30 March....

still nothing here in USNA’s backdoor in maryland.

thank goodness for mail on saturdays.

is it just me or has sunday been an especially painful day during this entire waiting period. like its the day before another week of school or work to begin with but its now also a day where you have to sit at home and know that nothings going to drop through that mail box.

i am also very curious as to the particulars of this famous BFE. Can one of the many people who have had to honor of seeing one over the years comment on whether the actual ‘E’ is white or manila? Is it sealed across the top or the side?

Goddard, I feel ya on the Sunday thing!! Looking forward to the mail keeps me going!! And isn't it sad/funny that were even asking what color and type of seal the envelopes are!! Oh this sure is one adventure! Good luck to all over the next two weeks!! ( and I do want to know what that envelope looks like...)

USNA BFE: It's a large manila envelope (couldn't fit in our mailbox so found on porch) sent USPS priority mail with blue folder inside containing appointment documents and some other info and paperwork for criminal background check.
Other SA's may look different.

Has anybody in Tennessee, particularly West TN, heard anything from the Academy, whether yay or nay? Nobody in my school's heard anything and I was wondering about the rest of the state. Between this and NROTC, the wait's about to kill me.

This is pure agony! I certainly hope the wave of TWEs isn't approaching us and there are more BFEs that are still waiting to be delivered! i just don't understand why a waitlist would be developed if the "bubble" people are still out here. Is being "on the bubble" worse than being waitlisted?

t this point I would even welcome a TWE. Then I could either take the other academy offer which is a great one (I just need to have all my options) or the NROTC, which is also at an excellent school. This waiting is nuts. Knowing something is far better than knowing nothing.

I'm almost to the point of agreeing with you here. I think I'd rather just know than wait around. Really hope I here in the next few days. I'm going into spring break now so I don't have school to keep my mind off of the waiting.

TWE

Received my TWE here in CT today. Ill be going to University of San Diego in the fall. I could be in shock, but I'm not too upset at the moment. We'll see. Anybody else?

I'm sorry to hear your news, but rest assured that you will absolutely love it here in San Diego. The school is beautiful and you certainly can't beat the weather. I wish you all the best at USD and hope you'll be really happy there.:thumb:

TWE came today in western NY.

Ive got 2 choices and I can't decide:

1. enlist marine corps
2. Community college
3. Illinois Institute of technology / Boston University

(Ranked in order of cost. Economy hit us hard, if I choose 4 year college I will be inundated with debt)

Im still looking to be an officer in the marine corps, so perhaps OCS after 4 year college.

CC provides excellent path to accomplish your goals with keeping options 1 and 3 still in the mix.

Good luck

TWE here today in CT also. Lets hope USCGA comes through, otherwise going to Holy Cross and reapplying next year....Boy thats gonna be fun...
