Waiting for portal change after MOC/Senator notified of appointment?

Hello, my nominating senator’s office reached out on Monday to let me know my appointment is official. I was told portal would be updated as of 17 march to accept. still no update as of 18 march. has this happened to anyone else and if so how long did it take for your portal to change?

make sure you are looking in the "new portal" while the CIS portal is open. My DS only got notification through the "new portal", the CIS portal still shows "application submitted"

correct! Ive been checking in the new portal as well and no updates there either.

Relax .....
USNA gives MOC the opportunity to notify the applicant so the MOC has he opportunity to be the bearer of good news. USNA doesn't always get feedback from the MOC office so they wait a fixed number of days before updating the portal to avoid spilling the secret.

And for those wondering -- not all MOC's take advantage of the opportunity to tell the Applicants themselve. There is often a lag of time between the time the Admissions decision is made and you are notified. Just be patient, you will hear one way or another in due time.

Do you know if you receive emails if there's an important change in your portal? I tried this link, and then clicked the "appointments and interviews" link and it appeared to be broken.

There is no email of any sort when there is a decision update. You have to manually check everyday.

DD got a call from our MOC on Monday as well, the email the MOC received from USNA stated that the portal update would happen no sooner than 48 hours which would have been Wednesday. The “no sooner than” reads that it may take longer to upload so I wouldn’t worry.

My DS got an email the day the portal updated as well . . stating the following: "If you are receiving this email, you have received a fully qualified offer of appointment to the United States Naval Academy, Class of 2025. Congratulations!" . . . and then it goes on to give some further instructions, etc , ,

Oh yes I did receive this, it just didn’t exactly indicate there was a change in your portal like other colleges send you when there is a change.
