Hi!

Wow, I like the new dodmerb site.

I am 45, female, and waiting on a waiver for a heart murmur. I am applying to the Reserves as an Army Chaplain. I have passed everything else I need to do, ecclesiastical endorsement, etc...

so it is with interest that I read everything here. wow, 2 weeks to 6 months, well ok
I figure everyday is a maybe that I do not hear no. ..I would love to serve all you men and women..

Blessings,

Liz

Hi Liz,

Welcome to the forum. Good luck with the waiver, I needed one for a heart murmur as well. Hopefully everything will go well because we need more chaplains.

If you want a more personal response on what is going on with your particular case you can email Mr. Larry Mullen with your name and information and he will get back to you. He's a great resource.

I don't want to misquote his email address, but if you look through pretty much any of the other threads here his email address will be in there.

Best of luck

Hi

Thanks....I am certainly hoping for a positive response! I will email him right now. it is encouraging that you also got a waiver for a murmur, although I know it is all very individual. They do need chaplains so I hope they say yes.

BTW, I did research one summer on HIV/AIDS at the NCI at USUHS back in '84..very cool..learned to drink coffee there.
