Congrats to all accepted; a real accomplishment. Hopefully RD acceptances will soon follow.

Great to hear! If your son is a tall one, he will be in Alpha Company with my Rat.
 
VMIdad- hmm "a tall one". My DS is a recruited athlete but not for basketball! So excited though

Or Hotel. the line is tallest at the flanks and tapers down to the shortest in the middle
 
Flank.... a lifetime of Navy terminology will do me absolutely no good as my DS attends VMI trying for an Air Force commission. :shake:
 
First CONGRATS to all! It is amazing journey. As for the Navy lingo - as a navy family can tellyou yes the language will be different - but familiar! The companies are formed the army way - by height, but as Bruno said the front and back are equal the tallest - the middle has the shortest - during my son's STP he was convinced he would be a alpha - many of the friends he made were all in that same situation - alas on matriculation day - he discoverd he was to be in hotel, the frinedships from STP saw the group split between A and H - it will all be good no matter what!

Amen to that and again Congratulations to all of those who are getting the good news. If BTW you haven't heard yet- don't despair- the class is by no means filled up yet.!
 
Son got his offer of appointment today to VMI as well as his scholarship money he received to The Citadel. Good "mail" day!
 
Give it time

I was accepted in November - regular decision. BUT I have an NROTC scholarship to VMI that I got in the first round of boards. I'm sure that helped.
Hang in there! I know of one student who got his acceptance 2 weeks before school started in the fall.
