I applied to The Citadel in Feb and still havnt heard back from them. I am a senior in high school and may 1st is approaching fast. I re-took the ACT and sent my updated scores. I also read on their website that alot of the registration stuff is due by May 1st, If I havnt heard from them by then, what should I do?

Call them Today!! I would not wait any longer- you should have heard by now so talk to someone in Admissions ASAP (get their name) and have them look this up to make sure that you have a complete record and that you are still being considered or else best case - they have already decided and for some reason you didn't get notified.

I turned my guidance office request form to my counselor in mid december (im a senior as well) and as it turns out my counselor "put off" faxing my transcripts and test scores to the admissions office of the Citadel. Apparently I missed the priority deadline due to the poor work habits of my counselor. According to him, my transcripts were finally sent in mid-January. I have applied to Norwich and Mass Maritime and heard back from both (applied to both after priority deadline). I also am still waiting to hear back from the Citadel because it is my first choice of all three...I called about a week ago to see what was going on with my app and a lady, whose name I cant remember, said that they were still going over my application. Any reason why it has taken this long? Looks like we both are in the same predicament sort of....Best of luck to you STLRams

Thanks all for your replies. Navylax12, Im sorry to hear that you are in the same posistion as I. I put a call into the admissions office yesterday and left a message. Still havn't heard back....I really do hope I get some positive feedback from my admissions counselor.

Update

I just received a letter in the mail today explaining that I have been placed into a pool of applicants who have not been denied nor accepted due to space availability. However the letter said to print out the medical/drug forms which I did immediately. Has anyone else received this letter and gained acceptance? This letter has made me very anxious...
