WAITING !

My son tells me that the USNA.edu website has changed.
Before, when you navigated to the Application page, it had a box to "Continue Application" (or something like that). Now it just says "Apply", which is for the class of 2023.

The "Continue Application" is still there however, in a drop-down menu under "Apply" in the upper left of the page.

My DS received a letter dated 27MAR18, from USMA, stating he should continue to send in significant achievements until he receives his nomination. They stated he is still competeting for a spot even though he has a LOA.
 
I just checked out the schedule of events. Looks like a fun day.
 
For NAPSters and prior enlisted coming in direct, I think they come in on I-Day minus 1, so they have a slightly smaller window. Bwah-ha-ha.
 
Are you practicing speedy showers? Speedy shaving? Getting up a bit earlier, especially if you are from the West Coast?
 
My DS tried doing an on-the-clock 3S maneuver this morning.
I set the timer for a liberal 9 minutes, and he failed miserably.

At USNA, multiple people in a room, 1 sink, 1 shower, and having to hustle out the door fast. Quite the abrupt change from what they are used to at home. Pro tip: load up your toothbrush and take it in the shower with you.
 
I think I’ll start changing my body clock to wake up at 0300 my time (West Coastian) just to be ready by the time I-Day rolls around... the initial shock probably won’t be fun at all haha.

Don't sweat it.. I can assure you, you won't have any problem waking up ! Enjoy your last week of peaceful Rack Time.
 
Company and Platoon assignments issued today via EMail, for Plebe Summer.
 
Induction Day is here. Dropped off DS about 0615. Very orderly, and done in a thoroughly proficient, military manner.
Had a look at the detailers moving the truckload of backpacks across the deck. That looked like a job in itself.
Went by Herndon and it still smelled like lard. :D
