The wait is over for this year. DS got the final email this morning. We are thankful for the opportunity and looking forward to a great plan B with NROTC closer to home for this fall. The Lord has a plan and will continue to lead us on this journey. Not sure how many out there heard something today. For those juniors out there starting this process the wait is long so be patient.

Stay strong. My son was sure to be going to Annapolis because of football. He didn't and didn't have a plan B or C or as it turned out, any backup plan at all. He stuck with it though and commissioned seven years ago into the Marines via PLC and is now a meat eater at the spear's tip.

They eat meat in California? :D

It turns out, a large contingent of dragon slayers are there.

The somewhat good news is that USNA made decisions on the WL rather quickly this year. In some prior years, many folks weren't given an answer until well into June. A lot easier to start making plans now than a month from now.

My DS is still waiting. It’s getting tedious.

Hmm . . . I was "assuming" b/c my WL candidates all received TWEs in the past couple of days. So sounds like a batch of TWEs went out recently with a few still remaining on hold. I would say that your DS is really close. If it doesn't end up working out this year, and it's still his dream, he really should consider reapplying.

There may still be a couple case by case appointments offered as/if accepted ones are DQd or change their mind etc. It happens every year due to injury or bad decisions. But just a couple at this point.

Pure speculation at this point, but based upon the posts ...looks like there was one last final waive of TWE to most of the waitlist, but Admissions is holding a couple in their pocket just in case....As USNA1985 suggests, Admissions would likely look very favorably upon any waitlisted candidate who reapplies next year. Of course there are no guarantees, and things do change, but if a candidate hasn't received the TWE yet, it means that Admissions is interested but just doesn't have a place for him/her this year.

So do you think the incoming class is set now? And there are a couple kids still on the WL in case of medical issues, etc.

Is anyone else on these boards still on the WL?

Thanks... you answered my question above.
