Hi all,
I have an LOA pending an eyesight waiver and my DODMERB portal is marked “Pending Waiver Review” since March 3rd. I was wondering if the recebt actions taken by the Academy would affect whether waiver personnel are there or the timeline when it would be received/denied.

Waiver personnel are there. They are working cases on a First-In, First-Out basis. After a senior medical officer makes a recommendation, it goes thru the Dean of Admissions, to the Superintendent.

You must realize though, there are a few other things going on at the USNA...especially right now...that require those leaders attention. So, the fact you have an LOA...this will become a character building exercise in patience. They will be looking @ your case🧐

In typical years, is USNA able to make most waivers go through the acceptance/denial process before April 15th, or would a candidate with a prolonged waiver in review be the reason why some appointments are released after April 15th?

With an LOA, waiver decisions will be rendered. They will try for 15 Apr. But again, these are interesting times with everything going on....

Thank you for your prompt and detailed response Mr. Mullen, I really appreciate your activity in the forums.
