I've been working towards a waiver for a shoulder dislocation and surgery for a few months now. This morning, during my hourly check of the big three (USMA portal, DoDMERB website, and SAF), I saw that under "Official Correspondence" on the USMA candidate portal, there was a PDF document titled "Waiver Approved," stating that a "medical waiver for the below medical disqualification(s) is approved," dated 02/01/2017. However, when I went to the Overview tab on my portal and scrolled down to the DoDMERB section, it still had "Waiver Requested" as my status. The DoDMERB website has been unaccessible all day for some reason, but I called and they said they hadn't received anything from USMA. I want to be relieved because of the "Waiver Approved" letter, but I'm not sure if it is official or not due to the lack of information. Is this the result of a lag in processing time, or am I missing something? Any advice or wisdom is welcome. Thanks!
