Waiver Authorities?

So on my medical app. It says that my medical status is "pending waiver review/submission" and I sent in my AMIS to dodmerb on NOV 19th and they said they received them. So I emailed dodmerb and I asked what my status meant and they said that my "case has been submitted to the USNA for review." I know that the waiver authorities make the decision, but are they GRANTING me a waiver (meaning additional paperwork) or are they APPROVING a waiver? Just a lil confused about that.
 
Granting and approving in this case is the same thing.
Now you wait. They may ask for more information
 
my son has been waiting since April.
Has since started ROTC.
Had another AMI Nov 2. still waiting.
