I am applying for USNA and my dodmerb status is Pending waiver from USNA. I was DQ for history or current opacities of the lens including cataract. Has anyone seen this before and seen a waiver denied or approved. My vision is fine and i have never had or needed glasses. I passed every eye test and I believe i am 20/20 in both eyes. Also how long will i have to wait to find out my fate. Note- I would not consider myself an extremely competetive candidate. Decent grades decent sat/act played sports but I am no genius. Thanks

Would love to hear the results of this - I am pretty sure my son will be in the same situation once he does his medical review. Did you get a waiver? Very worried in TX. I do believe he will be an above average candidate based on the class profile.

My son got invited to candidates weekend based on his SATs (only thing submitted at the time), received a nom - recommended in first place (but we believe competitive slate), and has received a LOA.

We are waiting/praying for a waiver for color blindness. And the waiting sucks.

FYI folks. This thread is nearly 2 years old. I doubt OP will respond considering these were the only two posts they made.

…and it's been almost 2 years. ;)

FYI Tbpxece ... nobody is hanging around waiting for this answer. Williamsdr3 saw a thread that was similar to his situation and was hoping to see info about a similar case . I responded as well.

Had you not bumped it ... with your humor ... I am pretty sure nobody would have remembered they posted in it.

My son is in a very sad situation. But hey ... funny post.

Glad to hear it! Sometimes folks come in by way of Google and miss the date stamp. williamsdr3's post seemed to indicate that they were expecting a response from the OP, hence my PSA. Happy New Year!
