Thank You Mr. Mullen!

Mr. Mullen's dedication to ensuring that the Service Academies receive timely documentation regarding remedials, etc. is unmatched! He is a blessing to those young men and women who seek to take the noble route and serve our Great Nation!!

Thanks again Mr. Mullen....our son is thrilled to get word on his waiver being granted and being part of the USCGA Class of 2013.:thumb:

Congrats, Dematha Stag Mom! (I believe I decoded your signature correctly?)

He is accepting the appointment?

R-Day is in 130 days!

Anxiety every day...is Mr. Mullen still on board with the uscga waiver process...my son's application status right now is pending waiver/pending decision...what does this mean? Any signs of hope to an appointment? Do you receive a conditional appointment before being notified pending waiver?

This thread was last active in 2009. Mr. Mullen is no longer an active poster on this board, though I know people still contact him at DODMERB.

If your DS hasn’t been turned down, there is still hope. Pending is exactly what it means - decision is not yet finalized on waiver and appointment.

DODMERB does the Q or DQ per standards. It is the SA who runs the waiver process according to individual Service policy.

Mr Mullen, we are in a pickle with a DQ, not waived, with AFROTC scholarship. Are you able to help in any way?

See my post in response to previous poster. It is the individual service that oversees the waiver process.

Some here on SAF have had success with using an outside consulting service. Google “DODMERB consultants.” It’s run by a retired Navy doc who was formerly on DODMERB staff. They are often able to help sort out if there is or is not a path forward.
