I have been medically disqualified and am currently awaiting a waiver decision from USAFA, USMA, and USNA. I have sent in information to DoDMERB as they were initially reviewing my file, and now that I am disqualified, do I need to send that same information to DoDMERB in order for it to be sent to the service academies? Or does the same information I sent to DoDMERB get sent to each of the three academies? Any help clarifying this is much appreciated!

As I understand the process, should the SA choose to process a waiver, the waiver authority at the specific SA (all do it differently) will review what DoDMERB has in your file. If they require additional information or test, they will communicate this with DoDMERB, who communicates the requirement to you in the form of a letter with instructions/portal update. Once you submit it back to DoDMERB, the SA waiver authority then reviews it. DoDMERB is the middle-man, so to speak, in waiver process.

Once a waiver decision is made, the SA's waiver authority notifies DoDMERB, who then notifies you. I have seen on the discussions that often, the SA portal will be updated to qualified prior to DoDMERB portal.

@Navybrat98: If you have new information or something that may help get your waiver approved like a follow up visit with a doctor that says you don't have the condition or it is no longer an issue etc....Any supporting documents may help over what you already sent, just be careful your not opening up another can of worms.
