A little bit of a spiel, but I was looking for a post like this during my DoDMERB process and couldn't ever find one.

I entered the DoDMERB process when I was currently in therapy and had history of depression/anxiety, and knew it would be a DQ and need a waiver. I didn't have high hopes as everything I read was people not getting waivers/being denied. After about a 2 month DoDMERB process, I got my waiver granted by USNA! Although waivers are on case by case basis, I just wanted to post in case anyone was in a similar process and needed some hope. I would urge everyone to be honest in the DoDMERB process/exams because it usually pays off and I learned I'd much rather get denied but have integrity vs feeling guilty throughout my military career.

alindy - A hallmark statement for all applicants. Military service is NOT for everybody, but for those who truly want to serve their country, there are a zillion ways to do so, if the military door doesn't open :wiggle:
