Waiver Question

So I was just notified that I DQed with D155.70 Myopia - refractive error greater than -8.00 diopters (spherical equivalent). I have a LOE to USMA so I assume that I will qualify for waiver consideration. Two questions:

1) Is there anything I need to do to pursue a waiver or is it all done automatically?

2) Does anyone have an idea if D155.70 is waivable for USMA?

I totally understand that no one here can give me official or concrete information and that the process is subjective. I'm just curious if anyone is aware of any precedence with this issue.

Thanks!

Tell your field rep immediately. He will probably instruct you to get your doctor to wright a letter to DODMERB saying you are ok. He will also probably tell you to contact your regional commander and tell him you are ready to move forward in the waiver process. Considering you have an LOE they will probably want to get you a waiver if your eyesight isn't that bad. It will still be a long process, however, because its ultimately up to the doctors at West Point.
