Waiver Requested

So I received a Disqualification for Myopia, but it was a clerical error on the part of the Doctor and he has since sent in a statement and another eye exam redacting the disqualifying eye exam. Is this likely going to help my waiver process and is it too late to influence the process? I have been waiting on the waiver since Feb 28th. He sent in the statement the day after my waiver was requested.

I would recommend you call your DoDMERB POC tomorrow and respectfully ask if they have received the correction for their doctor and how soon they will be able to correct the record.

Thank you for your response. My DoDMERB POC has said he doesn't have the authority to change the DQ status without consulting a Medical Professional and that process is the same as requesting a waiver in terms of priority. My best course of action is remain patient until USMA reviews my waiver request. He has made the redaction letter and new test available , but it will be made available alongside the original disqualifying exam and will be noted to be unsolicited. It sounds scary, but I feel like the odds of me getting a waiver for the incorrect information is still high. I am just afraid I will not have my exam reviewed until its too late.
