Hello,
I received a senatorial Principal Nomination to USNA, in addition to receiving a Presidential nomination. My application has been 100% complete for at least 3 months now.
After a nonstop, 5-month back-and-forth with DODMERB, and after completing over a dozen remedials, my DODMERB portal now reflects "Under waiver review" for each of the three military organizations I have applied to.
After being disqualified for a single age 10 psychiatric-related event, I completed a thorough, two-month-long psychiatric examination with a seasoned Navy psychiatrist. With all the medical records and the psychiatrist's comprehensive, absolving 8-page report now in my DODMERB file, I am confident that no further medical information will be requested of me.
On the USNA side, the only checkbox on my portal which remains unchecked is the "Medical Examination." I have read on these forums that this is a common issue.
Any help from this terrific community would be greatly appreciated in tackling the below questions.
1) Will I be notified when USNA Admissions triggers the medical waiver process? (USAFA notified me.)
2) How long after completion of a DODMERB package does it take for the "Medical Examination" checkbox to be filled on the USNA portal?
3) Perhaps most importantly, how long, assuming no further remedials are assigned, will it take for USNA to render a waiver decision?
Thanks again!
