Waivers so far this year or in the past?

So I am applying for class of 2025 at USCGA, and I am currently in need of a medical waiver due to an adjustment disorder diagnosis. I was wondering if anyone here has received a waiver from USCGA? And if you don't mind sharing, what was the waiver for? It is interesting to hear what has and has not been waived by USCGA, especially considering the crazy year we just had.

Great question. I'm also curious about the process. I have a history of reactive airway disease, but haven't been treated in years. I'm just starting the DoDMERB process so I have yet to see how they will handle it.

I received a conditional appointment, and am still awaiting a waiver for reactive airway disease and a concussion.

DS applied last year and got a waiver for reactive airway disease very quickly. He had to send pharmacy records from his 12th birthday forward proving he hadn't used any meds since before then. Good luck!

Okay, good to know. I have received prescriptions after my 13th birthday, but I have not needed to use them since before being 13. Does anyone know how this history could playout in the process?

Message Mullen LE. He's the DoDMERB expert on here

I just received a DQ for adjustment disorder, but was never diagnosed with a disorder and was not prescribed medication. My parents wanted me to talk to someone because they thought I needed an outlet. After a few sessions he determined I did have a need for further meetings and wrote in my records that I didn't have any issues or required further meetings. What happens now? Am I too late to get an appointment to West Point?
