web site down? 11/21

If you haven’t scanned threads in the DoDMERB forum recently, several deal with the ongoing and extended outage of the DoDMERB website. It’s bad enough Mr. Mullen had to step away from volunteering here to focus on that.

Not sure if you are USNA or not, but basically, if you are deemed qualified, USNA will be informed of this decision and USNA will enter this info into the CIS, which you can view.

If DODMERB needs more info, it may take a bit longer bc every candidates medical info is being handled manually, presently. If ultimately deemed not qualified, USNA will also be notified, and they will then decide whether or not to proceed with a medical waiver, or not. Which also may be delayed, for the same reason mentioned already.

Best advice at this point is to monitor your email, including spam, to set up appointments, or provide additional requested information.

A USNA admissions medical email is included in the correspondence, for further questions.

I am a USNA candidate and have received no such email. Was there any information about those with a remedial needed? No disqualifying codes, just two remedial codes, one of which requires a doctor's appointment.

FWIW: My daughter had her exam in late August/early September. She had her waiver examination completed 9/21. Her portal was just updated Saturday with Medical completed.

Those needing additional attention are ones that are being handled manually, taking more time.

Have you heard that USAFA will do something similar? My DD was Dodmerb qualified because Navy submitted her early but Dodmerb was down when USAFA sent her and now just trying to get DODMERB to tell USAFA she's already medically qualified. Just wondering if USAFA will also use a work around? I appreciate any insight. Thanks!!

Can you clarify which portal this is? My Son is ARROTC and we have been waiting for an email or some communication regarding his medical exams he’s submitted. Not sure where he should be looking..

Have him continue to check the academy portal. DoDMERB is the site that is down so they are processing by hand and emailing results to academies. Once his exams on DODMETS are marked “Complete” and then the site changes to “Closed” when exams are submitted to DODMERB. Once in DODMERB hands it is just a waiting game until someone notifies you that they need additional paperwork or until the academy portal reflects that the candidate is medically qualified.

DS's portal still shows "scheduled in contract area", even though DODMETS website was marked "complete" and records sent to DODMERB 10/3/2022. I know they are working the best they can, but should he follow up with them, since nothing has been updated in his portal since completing his exams? We know that he will require a waiver, so we want to make sure we aren't waiting, when we should be doing something.

The DODMETS site will go to “Closed”, “Complete and on Hold”, or “Complete.” “Closed” means the information is complete and has been sent to DODMERB. If the file shows “Complete” and has for some time, I would call DODMETS and make sure all has been sent. Normally you will see a green check mark by “Exams” and it will show “Closed.” It probably says “Closed“ and records sent to DODMERB. If Mr. Mullen is available on the DODMERB threads I would email him (candidate should email) and give specifics. Mr. Mullen is at DODMERB. You may see a thread labeled “Stepping away from SAF.”

I'm referring to her USNA candidate portal. The only task not checked off is Nomination.
