Some of my DD's future 2021 classmates are packing and the bags are weighing around 30-35 lbs. Does this sound about right or a bit on the heavy side?

My bag is over half that. Remember that on R-Day you're carrying that plus more all day.

We are at about 30lbs. My DS says it's all about the socks & sports underwear. So I guess we have a bag full of that! Add in the cleats, boots and low quarters. He packed everything himself.

I just weighed my DS bag and it is 24 pounds. Has basically everything on the list with 7 pairs each of all 3 socks.

My how the times have changed; we showed up with the clothes on our backs. We did not overpack and my DD bag probably weighs thirty pounds. The ladies have some extra stuff to bring and we didn't hit all the optional items.

I'm bringing about 20 pairs of socks plus toiletries, a fan, first aid stuff, a notebook, plus other miscellaneous things and my bag only comes out to 14lbs.

That is so funny. We hit all the optional items. 12 pairs of socks, toiletries etc. no fan. At about 18-20 lbs. with boots and low quarters included. I wonder what final weight will be with provided gear. Will be close to 50 lbs I bet.

That sounds heavy to me. What on earth are they packing?
My little citizen of the procrastination won't pack until Sunday morning--when i am in the car with the engine running...
But...'what are they packing?' SOCKS: crew socks, dress socks, boot socks.... and nothing like sending your kid to school with a pocket knife, cord, duct tape, and a lighter.

Time is running down. So exciting.
