Anyone one this forum still not hear from USMA? A bunch of TWEs went out for USAFA and USNA.

It is ok to still be waiting. Promise. It does not mean you are going to get in or be rejected. Yesterday was the deadline for medical waivers. There will be a lot of action in the next 2 weeks. Also, everyone still sitting on an appointment while soul searching (e.g. picking between USMA and MIT on an ROTC scholarship) will have to make up his or her mind soon. I know it is hard...but just keep faith. A little longer...

I know I already lost my slate so it’s difficult knowing you’re not getting in, but also waiting for the official TWE so you can move on

My DS is still waiting too. I know that he didn't win one of his slates, but not sure of the others. He has three nominations. I was hopeful he would know one way or another today, but his portal is still 3 q'd. Fingers crossed!

For those of you who feel that you have 'lost your slate'--honestly, you cannot know what is going to happen. If they did not want you for certain or if there was no path to a BFE, you would have a TWE already. The slate winner may have another nomination or be deciding between USMA, USNA, or MIT w/ NROTC...there are too many unknowns.

Just to be clear, I am the mother of one Old Grad who received an LOA the first week of September his senior year and had the BFE in October and the mother of a current cadet who heard nothing (NOTHING!) until the BFE showed up on the doorstep in the rain about the 24th or 27th of April. Again, you simply do not know. (He got the BFE on a Saturday and on Monday there was a white envelope in the mailbox from USMA--I was dying...dying!...until he came home and opened it and it was USMA saying, "Hurry up and make a decision." He did not hurry as he had already accepted a different service academy and had to do some research and soul searching before hitting 'Accept' for USMA...no regrets!) Again, these last two weeks of April are really hard...I know.

About this time last year my DS's portal updated to communicate that he did not have an appointment to USMA (no TWE). About 10 days later we were caught off guard when he was offered the AOG Civil Prep scholarship. I suggest you research this option in case it is offered to your potential cadet. It has been a fantastic experience for my DS and we have no regrets, he is ready to excel at WP in the class of 2025!

If the academy is one's first choice, and reapplying is in mind I highly suggest researching the prep opportunities (both sponsored and unsponsored) as my BGO last year told me: "pushing back the academy one year is not a lot of time in the grand scheme of things".
