I just got back from a CVW at Annapolis this past weekend and it was an all around amazing experience. Is their a similar program at West Point or do you have to already be appointed to do an overnight visit? I'm a junior if that makes any difference.

It's not quite the same as USNA.

An overnight visit at USMA, basically the equivalent of a USNA CVW, is only authorized for candidates who have received either a Letter of Encouragement (LOE) or an offer of appointment.

Visits run from ~8:00am on day of arrival until 12:45 the next day. So, it's only one night in the barracks vs 2 nights at USNA CVW. You can't schedule a overnight visit starting on a Friday. You can do it in the middle of the week, e.g. Tues-Wed.

There may be other programs for minority candidates. I wouldn't know about those.

I think you can schedule day visits without an LOE or offer of appointment.
