I rarely get excited about TV shows. I am a regular viewer of Law and Order, all versions, but luckily for me, that show is always on.

I am however excited for Whale Wars, which will be on Animal Planet tomorrow Nov. 7 at 9:00 PM EST.

It seems the show has been done in the style of Deadliest Catch (on Animal Planet's sister channel Discovery), however, this show is far more controversial.

The Animal Planet crew follows around the crew of the Sea Shepherd as they confront Japanese whaling ships.

To some they are heroes, but to many, including myself, they are ecoterrorists.

These guys are so extreme, that even Greenpeace disassociates with them. Their leader was a co-founder of Greenpeace.

Try to catch the show though, looks pretty exciting. Let me know what you think. :thumb:
 
Are these the morons who put themselves in the way of the whaling ships and their harpoons?

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Please post a running tally of the bodycount. I'm talking about the Sea Shepherd folks, not the whales. :thumb:

In the meantime, I'll continue catching up on Lost and Battlestar Galactica. :biggrin:

Yes, those are the guys.

At some point the captain gets shot...as seen in the previews.

The also rolled their RHI...which is never good.
 
Wait I thought BSG didn't start back up again until later this year?!
 
Sadly, I lost track of it about two seasons ago. I'm trying to catch up on the DVD's.

As for Lost, my lovely bride introduced me to it just two weeks ago. We've been going through the DVD's and are only in the second season.
 
Zaphod: Nobody I know from friends to family appreciate LOST. Personally I think/know its an awesome series! A new season starts up next month! Better get through those DVDs before it begins :biggrin:
 
I just saw the episode today where the captain gets "shot." I'm in awe at the way these people think....
 
They're idiots Hornet. They get away with it because they're in international waters. One of their ships tried this up near Canada a few months ago, the two top people were arrested and the ship was seized.

I LOVE Lost and can not wait for the new series to begin!! When you think you finally have it figured out, they turn it all upside again!! Keeps your mind, wondering, and working - it's great!

I stopped watching it on TV because it leaves me wanting to see the next episode so I always wait for the season to come out on DVD and watch it all the way through.

Just finished the 4th season last week. :)
 
Oohhhh I like the suspense of waiting... gives me something to look forward to on tv everyweek...
