I know this has probably been asked a million times but I am eager to know what my chances are a receiving a scholarship. The army has been my dream for as long as I can remember and I am going to be first generation military in my family. Aside from reading what others have said online I haven’t really talked to anyone about my chances. Any feedback helps.
-1310 SAT
-3.2 unweighted GPA
-President of weightlifting club at my school for 2 years
-Played football freshman and sophomore year, made varsity sophomore year and was a captain (stopped because concussions affected academics)
-Received an all league award my sophomore year
-Worked 2 jobs during the summer and work one during the school year for the past 2 years
-6:29 mile, 65 push ups, 76 sit ups
I know I don’t have a lot of extracurricular's but would it be worth it to put in some various volunteer jobs I've done? I wasn’t sure if it would be worth it because they total to only around 16 hours. I'm relatively strong in terms of physical fitness but I know that my academics are lacking. I plan to apply for the first board and supposing my PMS interview goes well what would my chances be?
