I have a 1250 SAT and a very low ACT but i am retaking them both this December and hoping for a 1350 SAT and a 28 or above on my ACT
-I go to one of the best STEM schools in my area of TN
-Varsity tennis sophomore year and i lettered but i switched school so i can't play this year but i will be next year

I would like to play waterpolo for west point i'm one of the top ranking points/wings in the state
I was just wondering what my chances are at this point and time?
I am also running for president of my senior class next year
-I have also been on a shooting team for 4 years now and i have made nationals along with top placements at state.
-Also i am trying to start helping with community service at the animals shelter.
-I have lettered a total of 3 times i would have lettered in waterpolo but our school doesn't allow it and i was team captain of waterpolo every year of High school so far.

Work on the SAT - you look like you offer a lot to me. But I don’t matter.

Take the online courses ... you can add 200 points with hard work. So I bet you can get 1450.

Your goal should be 1600. ;)

Also i think i'm applying with my psat score which i think is a 1300 somethings because my new sat score wont be back to apply Jan 24. Do you think that is smart to do?

Google Khan Academy. They have SAT prep stuff online for free.

One thing you didn't mention, which they will be looking for in your application, is leadership. Perhaps it was an oversight But they are looking for Scholar, Leader, Athlete. I'd say you have 2 of then down but you'll need to demonstrate leadership. Perhaps you can land some captaincies on some of your teams. Even if you have some leadership it wouldn't hurt to shoot for a Captain slot.

I would love to be a leader on a scholars team, but it is hard at my school the same kid that is a senior and has a 36 on the act is in every club but i am aiming for scholars bowl team captain and science bowl team captain next year.

Also i will be my waterpolo team captain and swim team captain next year along with a Scuba Diving instructor and the shooting team doesn't have captains.

With those leadership roles you should be in good shape. Be prepared to tell, in an interview, what you did as a leader to make an impact on the organization. Did you leave it better and stronger than when you 'found' it?

Coming from a current cadet, you seem very well rounded and involved. You're ACT/SAT is the biggest thing that would be holding you back. I took the ACT and I was encouraged to try everything i could to get at least a 30 on the ACT (around a 1400 on SAT) so I would make that your main priority.

Do you mind me asking what you started off you CQ's with and what you ended with before being accepted and attending West Point?

I think going into SLE my ACT was a 26. I took it the day after SLE and got a 28. Then i took a class to raise my score and ended up getting a 30 composite and 31 super score in September.

Did you apply with your ACT and SAT or just ACT because im trying to aim for a 30+ super score and a 1400+ SAT, also when you first made your account in jan of your junior year do you remember what you had then? Also Thank you so much!
