Plan A USCGA, USNA or USAFA, still waiting to hear from each one.

Plan B, UCC med school.

Plan C, UCC Biological and Chemical Sciences - Neuroscience

Waitlisted to USCGA, also applied to USNA and Maryland
Funny unrelated story-- when my grandmother attended the University of Maryland way back in the day, she dated Jim Henson, who later went on to make "The Muppets". She broke up with him and then married my grandfather, who was an USNA grad Marine Corps Brigadier General. She said she doesn't regret it one bit, which makes me happy.

I got in to VMI as well, and will be going there if USCGA doesn't work out this year. If we don't make it in to USCGA, I'm looking forward to seeing you there!

DS's plans.

Plan A: USAFA, USCGA, or USNA
Got denied at USNA (no nomination). Has 3 nominations for the USAFA. Still waiting to hear from USAFA and USCGA.

Plan B: AFROTC scholarship to Univ of Delaware. Received it and was accepted

I don't know if I've ever had a chance to say this in my time following your son's story, but three nominations is no small feat. Regardless of results, your son should be really proud.

He's done well and worked hard. It is all out of our control now. If it's meant to be, we'll, then it will happen. If not, we move on. It'll hurt for a bit. But he can't change the results. He just found out last week too, a day after the USNA denied him, that he won Cadet of the Year for the region in the Civil Air Patrol. He won it at his squadron, then the state level, and now the region. In the committees eyes he was the top cadet in DC, DE, MD, VA, WV, NC, and SC. He's had a good run. Hoping for one more milestone.
